At Mind-Full Meadows STEAM-Powered Learning Farm, we offer a variety of programs with the goal of providing a learning haven for children and their families. From our Nature Preschool to the homeschool and enrichment classes in A Mind-Full of Ideas and our after-school STEAM Society to our Spring and Summer Break enrichment camps, all programs at Mind-Full Meadows include interactions with or immersion in a beautiful natural environment.
You can wander in the woods, listening to the song of the Towhee, trek up the hill as the woodpecker taps out a rhythm, cross the log bridge over the trickle from spring rains, perch in the clubhouse and watch the hummingbirds flit between flowers, wander the creek bed, rich with clay and mystery. All of this and cute farm animals on three acres on the edge of Eugene. A working FARM STEAM program on site integrates permaculture principles with innovative educational practices to produce unique learning opportunities. Mind-Full Meadows has something for everyone.
The site offers much to explore including Douglas Fir and Oregon White Oak forests, an array of native wildflowers, a seasonal creek, small playground, organic gardens, wooded adventure trail, covered outdoor spaces, open meadow, well-used greenhouse, and animal enclosures. Children have the opportunity to engage with small farm animals, including chickens of many breeds and sizes, Muscovies, ducks, a Great Pyrenees, Nigerian Dwarf goats and bunnies!
Developed for children and their adults, Mind-Full Meadows is a place of possibilities. From school break camps to birthday parties, yoga workshops to weddings. As we develop the capacity of the site, you will find a variety of offerings posted.
The 2021 summer camp season has come to a close at Mind-Full Meadows, and we are now scheduling our fall and winter offerings. With COVID-19 cases at a high level in Lane County, the open-air, outdoor learning spaces and quality materials present at Mind-Full Meadows allow for joyful play, inspired learning, and healthy socialization while physical distancing.
We offer full-day enrichment and support at Mind-Full Meadows on non-school days and school breaks.
Enrichment classes and workshops at Mind-Full Meadows follow or exceed CDC and OHA COVID-19 guidelines, and many programs are held entirely outdoors. When indoors, open windows, high MERV air filters, and regular sanitization procedures ensure high air flow, filtration, and pathogen reduction. All staff are vaccinated, and there is plenty of space for exploring of the outdoor beauty of Oregon.
Some kid and family-friendly features of Mind-Full Meadows include our Adventure Trail system (with log bridge and Switchback Hill), Forest PlaySpace (with slackline course, Orbit swing, and more!), organic gardens, Chicken's Roost play structure, and our many friendly farm critters.
